Dog trackers
Hi, I have been looking at various dog tracking devices and they seem to fall into 2 distinct categories - the inexpensive device that attaches to your dogs collar and the very expensive ones that hunters use.
I think the difference is that the cheap ones use a sim card and utilises the mobile phone systems and the expensive ones utilise padding satellites.
The problem is I can't get a straight answer about the effectiveness in rural areas of the cheap ones and alsoif I would have to pay a monthly charge for the use of a sim card.
I live in an area that is poorly served by Vodaphone and not at all by anyone else.
Has anyone had any experience using the cheaper tracking devises - are they worth it?
