TĪRAMA MATARIKI LIGHT GLOW - this Fri & Sat at QE Park Masterton
Masterton will host light displays depicting Ngāti Kahungunu stories about the stars as part of the region’s annual light festival to celebrate Matariki. Waipoua Island on in QE Park in Masterton will be transformed and trees lit up as part of the festival to celebrate the Màori new year. The festival is named Tīrama which means to bring light or illuminate. The popular children's park will be lit up for two nights. Bring your whanau and celebrate together.
