Masterton Town Service
In addition to the current bus services during COVID-19 level 4 lockdown, Metlink will run a Masterton town service on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings for essential travel only (e.g. to the supermarket). This aligns with pension/benefit days.
The service will follow the usual town service routes (201, 202, 203 and 206) in a circuit starting from 9am at Church Street.
There will then be a return service starting at 11am following the same circuit.
Please note: This will run as an ‘on demand service’ to assist the local residents getting to the supermarket/pharmacy etc. and back. The return timings will be approximate due to the current queueing times.
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
