Christmas light vandals

Just happened to be looking out of my bedroom window in Cambridge Terrace, because I heard a car door slam, and saw our rope lights on the front fence going up in the air !!!! Banged on the window, woke hubby up and we went running out but they took off !! Grrrrrrrr you spend weeks putting them up for people’s pleasure, and they go and rip them off the fence ! So angry ! Have locked the gates now so they can’t get into the garden if they come back. Reported to police who said to ring 111 immediately if they try again First time in 17 yrs anyone has ever tried to damage or steal our lights 😢 This is our first year here in Masterton

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
