Men's Mental Health Week is an Everyday Thing:

Maree from Carterton District

While statistics say 65% of we humans- i see it as the average person, male or female will experience a form of depression or mental un-wellness in their lifetime. Its actually a natural normal thing! Remaining depressed for long periods of time is not.
I am proud to observe in my profession that males are less stoic than in the past and more likely to-

Step up and Seek out Solutions!

Take time to make time, to be in this moment of time.

Continue to be open and active to developing yourself.

Practice consciously being healthy, balanced,

mentally, emotionally and physically. It is a constant.

Accept the fact that some days you're the magpie -- or the New Zealand pigeon (the kereru) or a Kiwi! and some days you're the statue!

Smile, because some mistakes are too good to only make once.

A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on detours.

Take regular breaks from every day, no matter how important that day is!

Remember, nothing is permanent, it’s all temporary, neither will last, both thegood and the not-so-good times.

But reach out when you need a hand... or be the one to give it. ..either way its an action towards stepping up, and seeking a solution.
