A range of internal components from the century-old building have been carefully removed and stored by Foster Group Limited, so they can be reinstated in the new complex, including more items and materials than Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga required to be saved.

A surge in votes received on final day of voting added to the count - Auckland’s local elections preliminary results

Preliminary results confirm Wayne Brown remains to be the provisionally elected mayor of Tāmaki Makaurau.

With the large volume of last-minute votes added to the count, there are now variations to the results for candidates who were marginally leading in the progress results.
