Calling all horse enthusiasts!

Kate from Volunteer Hutt

We have a great new role available to support people with disabilities while they ride. Prior experience with horses not required! Check out the details below and if you're keen give us a call on 04 566 6786 or send a message here.

- Helper with Horses (REF 198)

This Upper Hutt organisation is looking for volunteers to help children and young adults with disabilities to get out doors on these beautiful animals. You'll be leading the horse or walking with rider while providing physical and moral support. Help with grooming is also needed. Training is on the job and there is even a national training scheme available for people who would like to become instructors. You'll need to have a reasonable level of fitness, be compassionate to the rider's needs and be able to practice common sense around the horses.
