What’s on: Film showing @ VUW on 18th Sept

Lois from Wainuiomata

Hi,

I am promoting our private film screening of the "KATIPS: The Movie" in Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch on 18 September.

This is a Filipino movie but will have English subtitles so even non-Filipinos can understand the film.

🏆Awards:

- “Katips: Mga Bagong Katipunero” was originally performed onstage in the year 2016; winning the ALIW Awards for Best Musical Performance that year.

- Won 7 out of 17 FAMAS nominations including Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Picture. FAMAS is like the Oscar’s of Philippine movie industry.

Here’s the Eventbrite link for Wellington:
www.eventbrite.com...

The ticket says 1-5 PM to give time for people to gather and socialize before the actual show. The screening will start at 2 PM. The movie runs for 2hrs and 22 minutes. After the screening, we will have a Debriefing session via Zoom with the director, Atty. Vince Tanada for around 30 minutes.

Net proceeds (after venue rental expenses, GST and Katips producers fee) will be seed money for the Banyuhay Aotearoa Charitable Trust, our group will be focus on helping other Filipinos especially those experiencing hardship.

Hope you can support us and help promote this event to others as well. 🙏🏽

Poll: Are domestic flights with Air NZ out of your budget?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

A Tauranga man has filed a complaint with the Commerce Commission, claiming that due to dynamic pricing, it’s cheaper for him to fly to Los Angeles than to book a flight for his daughter from Tauranga to Wellington.

Do you think their pricing needs addressed to encourage more people to fly?
