What do you think of the new NZ police armour?

Sarah Reporter from Stuff

Hey neighbours,

All New Zealand police officers will receive new stab- and bullet-proof vests in a $20 million roll-out over the next three-and-a-half years.

The current vests - which were introduced in 2006 - are stab-proof, but special vests are worn by any officers involved in firearms call-outs.

They have passed their warranty, but remain "safe and fit for purpose", says Police Commissioner Mike Bush.

What do you think about the new armour? Are police officers safe using the current vests? Are you surprised the existing vests aren't stab- and bullet-proof?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Melling line might disappear..

Mike from Alicetown

Hutt City mayor Campbell Barry is asking for an urgent meeting with Transport Minister Simeon Brown over the future of the Melling train line.

The Melling Line is facing an uncertain future after funding for a key piece of infrastructure was not included in the $32.9 billion National Land Transport Programme, which included $3.2b for Wellington ‒ a pedestrian bridge over Te Awa Kairangi/Hutt River.

The pedestrian bridge has always been a core part of RiverLink, which includes the Melling interchange. To build the interchange on State Highway 2, the Melling Station has to be relocated south.

Beware of Finance Phantom

Alex from Woburn

Just letting people know my parents registered for a online trading platform after they saw on Facebook which they try to mimic the New Zealand Herald with an article called:

New Zealanders will be left without pension payments: Prime Minister tells us what awaits us after pension reform

news-world24.com.pl...

What happened was when my parents told me that they were talking with someone from customer support from Finance Phantom, I had to push them on if they can give me the name of the online trading platform and searched Finance Phantom, it was a scam

Also when it comes to phone calls, the scammers will insist you to deposit $250.00 USD

Also if people search Finance Phantom reddit, it is a scam
