National Volunteer Week in the Hutt!

Join Volunteer Hutt and the community organisations to celebrate and acknowledge the impact that volunteers have within the Hutt community. The theme this year is 'The Heart of the Community'. Speakers and displays from a range of agencies will inspire you to get involved so that we can continue to support the Heart of the Hutt. A ukulele group will provide entertainment for the day.

Date & Time: Monday 18th of June, 11:30am to 1pm
Venue: James Coe rooms, Dowse Art Museum, Laings Road, Lower Hutt

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
