Free curtains for your home
If you have a Community Services Card, you can get free, lined curtains for your home. Wellington Curtain Bank is making it easier for Upper Hutt people to get curtains in the next two weeks. From September 25 to October 6, people who need curtains can drop into Timberlea Community Centre to get an order form.
The Centre will be open from 12pm to 2pm weekdays and outside of those times people can text 027 474 4900 to make arrangements. We’ll make curtains especially for your windows and then drop them back to Timberlea for you to pick up.
What's your favourite tomato recipe?
Kia ora neighbours. We know your tomato plants are still growing, but we're looking ahead to the harvest already! If you've got a family recipe for tomatoes, we'd love to see it and maybe publish it in our magazine to share with our readers. Send your recipe to mailbox@nzgardener.co.nz, and if we use it in the mag, you will receive a free copy of our February 2025 issue.
