Services during Alert Level 3
As we move to Alert Level 3 overnight, a reminder about our services in Te Awakairangi:
🗑️ Rubbish collection will continue as usual along with Green Waste collection.
♻️ Mixed recycling (yellow bins) will be sorted safely at the sorting center in Seaview, rather than be sent to landfill. Make sure you know when to put your bins out by checking toogoodtowaste.co.nz
đźš— As we did in Alert Level 4, we're continuing to provide free parking for at least the first week of Alert Level 3.
đź“š Library loan periods have been auto-extended and overdue fees waived. Our libraries remain closed, including return bins, so please keep your library books at home!

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
