Maungaraki Scouts "Breakfast on the Green" Fundraiser
Maungaraki Richmond Scouts are holding their third annual Breakfast on the Green fundraiser, Sunday 10 February starting at 9:30am. Come to the green space on Dowse Drive across from the Maungaraki shops for pancakes, french toast, sausages and bacon. We'll have fresh lemonade, olive oil, and homemade baked goods, a huge rummage sale and a raffle. There will be facepainting and older scouts are organising games for younger children on the grass.
Bring the kids and come to the Maungaraki Green next Sunday for food, fun and to see what Scouting is all about.
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
