Dissappointed
Good afternoon neighbours...
I have been living in Avalon for the past 5 years and have always found it to be a lovely friendly neighbourhood with lovely neighbours, however on Tuesday 8th December at 9.52 am that changed. I was expecting a parcel to be delivered by courier post and had been on line and tracked it and changed from signature required to non signature and gave permission to leave parcel at my front door. I am in constant pain and have a carer come in twice a day and require help to get in and outside hence the decision to change as I am always at home. The courier updated its site to say that the parcel was delivered at 9.52 am on Tuesday.m It was not delivered to this address. The driver doesn't know where he delivered it. Firstly he said 986 then 996 High Street. He has not been able to recover the parcel. Someone is being dishonest. This was a Christmas gift for my grand daughter and after checking with the supplier this item is no longer available.. I am sick of peoples dishonesty at the expense of others. If you have received a parcel that dos not belong to you especially after the year we have had, we are all financially strapped. please forward it to the correct person.. You don't know their story. All I can hope is that someone has the decency to put it on my doorstep no questions asked or that the little girl that receives it really needs it and looks as gorgeous in it as my grand daughter would have.... Rant over.,...Merry Christmas... May 2021 be kind to us all.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
