Buzz cafe

Jacqui from Alicetown

Just had the most incredibly bad experience we have ever had at a restaurant. I don't normally take to social media to vent but this was just terrible. Buzz café in lower hutt. Don't go there! The meal was very average with dry burgers which didn't even have cheese on. The beer and my bottle of drink were warm so we had an ice bucket to try n chill the drinks. The staff said the drinks hadn't had time to chill down. We told the waitress it was pretty poor but said we obviously didn't blame her. When we got home my husband realised he had left his phone behind so we tried to ring them but no reply. Strange for a restaurant. So we went down to see if it was there n the owner came out n started abusing us and said we had been swearing at his staff. I think he had been drinking but there is no excuse for his behavior. You do not treat your customers this way. He was resistant to returning the phone and just wanted to keep arguing. The guy is an idiot and I struggle to see how he will succeed with this sort of behavior toward people. What an absolute twat!

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
