New premises
We now have a new home sweet home- just up the road.
Our new address is 16 Commercial Rd, the former premises of Nga Maunga Whakahi o Kaipara.
We were based at 27 Commercial Rd for 14 years and originally opened our doors in Helensville in 1991.
While still located in the main street, it is away from the main hub, providing a more discreet entry for clients.
The new premises is more spacious providing sound proof rooms for clients, meeting spaces and greatly improved kitchen and toilet facilities.
Our location has increased visibility and easier access to visitor parking.
“Having volunteered at the Helensville Citizens Advice Bureau long enough to have seen the bureau’s three different locations, the latest shift has got to be the biggest and best location ever!” says Dawn Bayliss, long-time volunteer icon.
Our new board looks forward to having more space to provide growing community connection and welcomes new volunteers.
The office is open Monday to Friday, 10am to 1pm.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
