Good news: Still no Covid-19 Delta cases in Northland
Northland District Health Board is working hard to reassure residents that there are no cases of Covid-19 in Northland, despite the region having to remain in lockdown alert level 4 for a few days longer than the rest of the country outside of Auckland. Again today, no positive cases were announced. If Northland contacts and wastewater tests come back clear, the region will drop to alert level 3 at 11.59pm on Thursday.
tadpoles
Kerikeri's frogs are in trouble. A fungus is killing a lot of the adults. If you have tadpoles in your swimming pool and would like them removed we have ponds available for them to mature in. Call 407-3974 and we'll pick them up.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
