Keep the Emergency Department Free
The Counties Manukau region is currently experiencing high volumes of people going to hospital Emergency Departments which is causing long wait times.
The number of people coming to the ED at Middlemore Hospital for non-emergencies is rising and we need our communities support to keep the Emergency Department free for those who need it most.
ED’s are there primarily to treat those whose condition threatens their life or limb.
Unless someone is experiencing an emergency, we are asking them to visit their local GP or Urgent Care clinic.
This will enable our busy ED staff to focus their time and resources on patients who have life threatening emergencies.
Help us to help you, your friends, your whaanau and our community.
Let’s keep the ED Free!
