Water Protection Fund - Applications open 1 March
The focus of the Water Protection Fund in the Wairoa catchment is to support and financially assist landowners and the local community in works that aim to reduce erosion and to enhance waterway health. These works may include fencing off streams, wetlands, and drains to exclude grazing stock, and riparian planting.Applications may be submitted between 1 March and 30 April 2017

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
