Census
Did you know that a significant amount of Government funding is based on Census data?
Northland District Health Board is paid per unit of population.
Funds for water and sewerage subsidies and critically roading subsidies are paid on a deprivation index and population data.
For any number of reason thousands of people choose not to participate in census but this means we are missing out!
Missing out on critical funding we need to ensure that we can meet the basic needs of our community.
This is my person post to ask that we all compete the census and spread this important message so that everyone understand how critically important this is to everyone in our community.
Census date is 6 March. Thank you for reading and sharing on your networks. ☺
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
