We're not politically biased in anyway but .....
We do have a range of things that we want to raise. As I continue to research the landscape facing everyone in the future and in particular for the Havelock North older people's community, the more issues rear their ugly head.
So in light of that we've accepted requests from a couple of candidates for the tuki tuki electorate to come and listen to what our group is interested in and answer a few burning questions!
So next Friday the 7th from 9.45 on please join us for a cuppa and listen to what Anna Lorck has to say.
Location: the rear(hall) of St Luke's church, 24 Te Mata road HN. All welcome.
A couple of weeks later we'll welcome Lawrence Yule to address the group also. Details for that will be posted here.

What's your favourite recipe for courgettes?
Kia ora neighbours. If you've got a family recipe for courgettes, we'd love to see it and maybe publish it in our magazine. Send your recipe to mailbox@nzgardener.co.nz, and if we use it in the mag, you will receive a free copy of our January 2025 issue.
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
