My Nice Neighbour nomination
I would like to nominate Robert Smith and Eddy Sigfried from HB STAMP who donate many hours of their time going about the community to rid the district of Moth Plant. Not only do they educate people about this plant but they actually will visit and remove all the pods, which are a definite source of future regeneration and clean up the active moth plant to prevent it spreading further. They do this as volunteers and incur costs as they do this - protective gear, ie gloves, tools, poisoning gels, transportation etc. Publicity for them will not only expand the community's knowledge of this invasive plant but will assist our environment too. They are nice neighbours and I would love to see their efforts recognised as such.
