Can Judith Collins deliver on her promise to Hawke’s Bay?
National Is promising to spend a lot of money in Hawke's Bay improving medical services and building roads.
National Leader Judith Collins said National will urgently upgrade the Hawke’s Bay Hospital by spending $400-500 million on an upgrade. Design and development work will begin in 2021 and diggers will be on site in 2025, she said.
The announcement is part of their plan plan to invest $31 billion in infrastructure over the next ten years.
“We’re committed to ensuring our public health system is delivering for you, your children and your family. These improvements will improve the lives of many New Zealanders.”

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
