Mahora community hui - Tuesday 11 July
Kia ora koutou,
Thank you so much to those who attended our community hui on 7 June.
It was a positive forum to discuss some of the issues that concerned you and how we can make our neighbourhoods accessible for everyone. Taking everyone’s thoughts and opinions on board, we have designed specific solutions based on your and the surveyed community’s feedback.
These plans propose to slow vehicles down to create more accessible, people-friendly neighbourhoods that support active transport. So, people can walk, scooter, and bike without any barriers.
We would love to share our street-calming designs with you and will be holding a hui on Tuesday 11 July from 5.30pm at Te Mākaramū (The Meeting Room) at Cornwall Park for the Mahora Community.
We hope to see you there.

What's your favourite tomato recipe?
Kia ora neighbours. We know your tomato plants are still growing, but we're looking ahead to the harvest already! If you've got a family recipe for tomatoes, we'd love to see it and maybe publish it in our magazine to share with our readers. Send your recipe to mailbox@nzgardener.co.nz, and if we use it in the mag, you will receive a free copy of our February 2025 issue.
