Please take care with stock around the reopened Napier - Wairoa railway line!
Kia ora neighbours! The line's open and we're looking forward to freight trains travelling along it soon. But… trains and stock don't mix. So, please round up those wandering herds! And keep yourself and your stock safe: if you’re moving animals across the rail corridor (the tracks and land five metres either side) you need to use an approved private level crossing (with a Deed of Grant). Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
