Take care
The heavy rain warning has been lifted as the threat of severe rain has passed, but there is still a lot of water out there, so take care, while out and about today, folks. Water logged trees can still loose branches, surface flooding can still occur as water comes down from the ranges, and drains are still full in many places.
There is also a heavy swell warning with the potential for gales on the coast, so stay away from the beaches, especially the Parade and don’t even think about going fishing.
And check up on your neighbours and loved ones.

Prime Minister delivering apology
On Tuesday 12 November, the Prime Minister will deliver a public apology to survivors of abuse in care in Parliament.
You can register your interest to attend the event in Parliament, or if you want to watch it with friends, whānau or a support person you can attend an event at the Due Drops Event Centre in Auckland, Shed 6 in Wellington or the Christchurch Town Hall.
