Lousy medical attention in Hawkes Bay
We have a sick grandson - could be measles or something else - he has a rash - his mother tried to see the family doctor last night only to be told that the nurses were too busy (giving flu injections) to see the boy. For all we know he could have something really serious, he could be passing it on to other kids, and even this morning they're too busy to see a sick child. We're going to just turn up and try to see the ""family"" doctor, but our only other choice would be to go to the hospital emergency department and help clog up that system. Of course if he's infectious that also adds to the problems at the hospital - we just need to know if he's ok and whether he could go to school or needs to stay away. Hawkes Bay medical services in my opinion have now reached third world status - don't get sick folks unless you need the hospital (the hospital staff and doctors/nurses are a credit to their profession - "family' doctors are useless
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
Do you think this ban is reasonable?
