Hire a Hand
Hello neighbors!
Havelock North High School is doing a Hire a Hand day where people in the community can hire a student to do some work. My daughter is a junior and needs $20. She is earning maths credits 3 years above her year level (year 9) in year 12 and is happy to help with primary/intermediate student with homework or extra peer-tutoring. She is also advanced 2-3 years ahead in English and held leadership roles. She is also fluent in Mandarin and is also happy to do other types of work.
Available on this Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as after school. Only work in or near Hastings please!
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
Do you think this ban is reasonable?
