Hamilton reaches Water Alert Level 2
Water Alert Level 2 water restrictions are now in place for Hamilton. With more warm weather on the way we need to ensure we don’t use more water than we need. There are lots of simple ways to conserve water, for example watering the garden by hand, or washing your car on a piece of lawn that needs watering, or taking shorter showers!

One of the most recognisable buildings at Waikato Diocesan School for Girls could be demolished, except for part of the façade.
The school is asking for resource consent to knock down most of the earthquake-prone Cherrington House as part of plans to build a larger, safer administration block.
