Hey neighbours, we at Waikato DHB want more of you to have a say in health. Come along to your Community Health Forum next week.

When: 9.30-11.30am, Wednesday 12 December
Where: Fellowship Room, The Link, Cnrs River Rd & Te Aroha St, Hamilton

Community Health Forums are a gathering of local people who come to listen to updates from the Waikato DHB, share their thoughts and talk about what matters to them about healthcare in their community. On the agenda this time – tackling obesity in children, “Let’s talk” mental health update, developments in tele/virtual health, primary care update and more.

One of the most recognisable buildings at Waikato Diocesan School for Girls could be demolished, except for part of the façade.

The school is asking for resource consent to knock down most of the earthquake-prone Cherrington House as part of plans to build a larger, safer administration block.

The Hamilton Zoo already offers encounters with macaws, tigers, ring-tailed lemurs and rhinos, however soon the others will be on offer.
