Come explore and experience the amazing December light festivals celebrated by people around the world and by our migrant communities right here in the Waikato. These workshops aim to expose young people to the beautiful diversity of the world, give them an opportunity to explore their own inner creativity through puppet making, and discover the connections they share with the cultures around them. PLEASE PLEASE slow down, take more care, there are three people who will not see their loved ones at Christmas, who will not share in the banter and the (sometimes) very painful jokes.
Three people who their whanau will never see again
Slow down, take care, throw that phone in the back seat, pull over and take a nap if tired,
and we will ALL be around for Christmas

The current age of voting is 18 in New Zealand and lobby group Make It 16 have been running a youth-led campaign advocating for the vote to be extended to our 16 and 17-year-olds.
“This is history,” said Make It 16 co-director Caeden Tipler. “Today New Zealand’s highest court has confirmed that stopping young people from voting is a breach of our human rights...The government and Parliament cannot ignore such a clear legal and moral message. They must let us vote.”
