Brewed: A guide to the beer of New Zealand
- Jules van Costello.

2017, 2nd edition. Paperback, 236 pages, excellent condition

Since the release of Brewed in 2015, the New Zealand beer industry has continued to grow dramatically, which this revised edition takes into account by featuring 45 new breweries, meaning over 160 commercially operating New Zealand breweries are profiled. Additionally, the tasting notes for over 450 beers have been revised and are now in a separate section, divided into beer type, for easier comparison of beers produced by different breweries.

Brewed includes a style guide written specifically for the New Zealand craft beer market and has all the information needed to make the increasingly complicated beer world a lot more comprehensible.

What Do Women Want? Adventures in the Science of Female Desire

Daniel Bergner

2013. Paperback, 224 pages

Excellent condition

In this headline-making book, Daniel Bergner turns everything we thought we knew about women's desire on its head.

Drawing on extensive research and interviews with renowned behavioural scientists, sexologists, psychologists and everyday women, Daniel Bergner asks: - Do women really crave intimacy and emotional connection? - Are women more disposed to sex with strangers or multiple partners than either science or society have ever let on? - And is 'the fairer sex' actually more sexually aggressive and anarchic than men?

Sharon from Leamington

Anyone else noticed the price of 95 petrol has gone up 10 cents this week
Anyone else peed off about it, thought we had a review on this blatant profiteering
How do these guys sleep knowing the record profits they are making

We invite you to take the time to share your memories and images of Waipā's past in this year's Heritage Month.

Discover what gems the library holds through the launch of the new Local History page on our website. This project is a work in progress, with records being added regularly. Patrons or visitors to the page are more than welcome to share their memories and thoughts.

Images from the collection are being shared on Facebook each weekday for patrons and whanau to view, share and identify each other or share their memories of the images or events pictured.

We are also inviting patrons to hunt through their own photos to find any images pre 1970s which they would be happy to share. Patrons who submit items will go into the draw to win a KoboLibra2 (eReader) package valued at over $350.

If you are a Club and are interested in having your Club history recorded, our Club Oral History Project is underway. More information is available here.

Children are invited to test their research skills and learn a little more about Waipā's past for our Digital Scavenger Hunt! Two prizes are available to be won.

More online events may be added during the month, and will be listed on the website.

Hi everyone,
Hokitika has been named the most welcoming town in NZ in Booking.com's 10th annual Traveller Review Awards.
Would be keen to hear from those who live there or who have visited whether they think the town really is exceptionally friendly. What makes it a welcoming place, or otherwise? Were there any cafes, restaurants, shops or other places you received a particularly warm welcome?
Lake Tekapo and Oamaru came in second and third place respectively, followed by Cambridge, Picton, Invercargill, Martinborough, Kerikeri and Palmerston North. Would also love to hear from you if you have thoughts on these places. Please include 'NFP' (not for publication) in your comment if you don't want it to appear in a travel article.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts?
