The ‘western world’ is on the cusp of what will be the largest inter-generational transfer of wealth in history, as the ‘baby boomer’ generation reach the end of their lifetimes.

In recent years there has been growing awareness of this looming challenge and opportunity across investment, charity and philanthropy circles in New Zealand, but little local data and analysis to really inform planning and consciousness raising here.

Now the Philanthropic Services division of JBWere New Zealand, one of Momentum Waikato’s investment partners, have launched ‘The Bequest Report – Reshaping Aotearoa New Zealand by creating a legacy that goes beyond asset wealth’ to collate and present the relevant facts and insights.

Stark Property has bought all of the Waikato Farmer Trust’s property assets for sale on the site, a sizeable chunk on the west end of London Street opposite Seddon Park.

In 2024, Hamilton City Council’s parking team issued 22,892 parking infringements, which is 5255 more than in 2023.
