Older people wanting to rent in retirement villages are waiting years as the squeeze goes on operators.
There’s a seven-year waiting list for rentals at a north Waikato village, says the charitable trust that runs it, while Waipā District Council says its pensioner housing wait is up to two-and-a-half years.
