❤️🩺🐈🐕‍🦺World Spey/Desexing Day February 23rd 2021 🐈🐕‍🦺🩺❤️

Hamilton Small Animal Veterinary Centre

Annually the last Tuesday in February is internationally known as World Spey/Desexing Day. This initiative started back in 1995 in the USA and has since spread to 41 countries around the world.

❤️It is a day to highlight and promote the desexing of companion animals world wide.

We have many rescue centre’s throughout the Waikato and New Zealand that work tirelessly to help rescue, desex and rehome the many unwanted kittens and puppies born in New Zealand every year.🐈🐕‍🦺

We encourage and support the importance of desexing dogs and cats to help combat the overbreeding of unwanted animals, not only that but there are health benefits also:

•Risks of infections, cancer and other diseases of the reproductive organs in our precious pets are lowered.
•Improved life expectancy
•Eliminates unwanted behavior

Please help support these wonderful organizations. ❤️

If you require any further information on desexing or need to book your pet in, please give our team a call on 07 8492963, they will be happy to help you out!😀

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?

Poll: Do you think this was the right decision?

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

Hamilton City Council is defending a $60,000 spend on a flood of water management PR featuring a TV personality as residents face huge rates rises.

At a time of council cash constraints, Te Radar - real name Andrew Lumsden - catches the eye on the council’s Facebook page, where he currently features in three “explainer” video clips about Hamilton’s water services.

Do you think this was the right decision? Tell us your reasons in the comments (adding NFP if you don't want your words used in print).
