Well here is your chance to do just that without the start up costs or the mess.
Just purchase your own acrylic pour 1 hour experience. Our tutors will guide you through the process of acrylic pouring. Pick up to 5 different colours, mix them yourself, add your mediums and then pour the paint to make your own unique painting filled with flowing colours, shapes and cells.
We supply everything, and you will go home with your own unique 12x12" canvas, ready to hang on your wall.
These experiences usually retail for $75 but to celebrate our first Arts in the Park event we will be offering them for $39.95.
Painting takes place at Arts In the Park, 19 Jan 2019 and we are running a workshop every hour on the hour for people to come and have a go.
What do I do?
To purchase your picture email us at office@artsforhealth.co.nz and we will direct you to our bank account and confirm what workshop hours work best for you - Easy! Then come along on 19 January 2019 with your confirmation email or show us on your phone, to Norris Ward Park, Tristram St, Hamilton (the park app the Girls High) and have some fun.
This is a fantastic opportunity to do with your friend or the kids, (yes they will get dirty but we provide aprons and gloves, so only half messy)
Choose from 5 time slots 10am, 11am, 12 noon, 1pm & 2pm.
This is a fundraising event for Arts for Health Community Trust. Thank you for your support.

Does our attitude toward disability carparks need to change? Stuff Nation contributor Noel Burland thinks so.
He expressed his opinion of the topic after an article appeared on Stuff about a man in Rangiora, who had taken his nine-year-old son who has Cerebral Palsy to the local swimming pool, and found a note on his car that read: "not genuine, shame on you" on his windscreen after he legally had used a disability park outside the pool.
"The person who left the note has quite clearly made an egregious error of judgement, something that may be more common than we realise,
" Burland said.
"That error was the fact that not all disabilities are visible and this person was completely wrong to assume the family weren't entitled to use the park - despite the fact they had the proper disability card displayed on the dashboard of their car."
So we want to hear your opinion on this topic. Have you ever faced a situation like this in your community? Do you think most people understand the rules around disability carparks? Do drivers need to improve their attitudes? Share your thoughts in the replies below.

Honesty stalls in rural NZ may be the "Kiwi way", but thieves are making it difficult to survive.
One grower-family was targeted with a spate of $100 per day thefts.
But out-of-pocket growers have pledged to continue; keeping the "Kiwi tradition" alive, in spite of thieves.

Do you make the most of honesty stalls when you're driving throughout New Zealand?

Once you know which type of wasp to target, the next step is to use the correct control method.
- For paper wasps, there are commercially available sprays at hardware stores around the country. The important things to note are not to get too close (these sprays can go up to four metres), and to do it at dusk once the wasps have returned to their nests. If you are unsure where the nests are, you can usually follow the wasp to it, as they don't travel too far away.
- Vespex is a protein-based bait which is suitable for use on the vespula wasp species. This is usually done at landscape scale as a small tub of bait can cover a large area. You don't need to find the nests as the wasps carry the bait home with them. Vespex is not at all attractive to bees. If there is a problem in your area you can learn all about the use of vespex here. You will need to be an approved user - a short 10-minute video course is all that is required. Vespex is not suitable for paper wasps as they prefer live bait. You can also contribute to our fight against wasps here: givealittle.co.nz...

Atm milk bought today is sitting in a bucket of ice/bottles of frozen water. I phd winz on Fri 21st to arrange new fridge. I phd Fisher and Paykel today (3rd January) to enquire when I was getting it, told no job had been logged. Phd winz waited 40 minutes for someone to answer. Told job still hadn't yet been submitted/approved. Due to call today it has now but F&P said it would still be at least 3 working days before I get it delivered. In meantime I'm without a working Fridge to keep my milk/food cold. So does anyone have a suitable small working fridge I can borrow for the next few days please.
Text/ph me on 0273901487. I'm in Lloyd drive area.
Many thanks.
