Native Forest Restoration course
Want to find out more about how to restore your local piece of native forest or gully? If so, this course is for you! This series of 8 classes explores the background and methodology of native forest restoration in the Hamilton and Waikato areas. Local plants, animals, environmental zones and forest restoration methods will be discussed. There will be a field trip including theoretical and practical experience. Classes meet at EarthDiverse Trust, Norris Ward Park, 2 Seddon Rd, Hamilton, on Tuesday mornings 10:00am-12:00pm beginning on 3 August.

Tributes flow for Paul Galletta
Paul Galletta, “a real Waikato guy”, was farewelled by police and the rugby community at FMG Stadium on Wednesday.
A crowd of nearly 1500 gathered to celebrate the life of Galletta, who died at the age of 62 on November 23.
