Our newest Art History course “Put a Frame Around It: A Journey Through the History of New Zealand Art” with Peter Dornauf begins on Friday 21 October, 11:00am-1:00pm.

This series of eight consecutive weekly talks takes us from the very early beginnings that start with Māori petroglyphic art, through to the latest postmodern productions in the twenty first century.

Check out this and over 40 additional courses we're offering this Term on our website. All courses begin the week starting Monday 17 October 2022.

Those involved in ploughing $1.6m in ratepayer cash into a property in Te Aroha which can’t be used for its intended purpose and is unlikely to be sold without taking a loss are defending their decision.

In June 2022, the Matamata-Piako District Council agreed to buy a 7.2ha rural-zoned lifestyle block on the outskirts of Te Aroha for $1.29m, intending re-zone it as industrial.
