We found out that some participants have some pretty wacky costume ideas like; ‘Donald Trump', ‘an inflatable flamingo’ a ‘popcorn vendor’ and ‘grumpy grannies’. Comment below with what you'll be dressing up as this year!

I never heard from the Hospice Shop or sighted my sun glasses again. But I did hear from my opticians, Paterson Burn. Imagine my delight when I got a call offering to replace my sunglasses - lens, frames, the lot - at no cost to me. They had read the sorry saga on Stuff even before I had read it myself. I was gobsmacked. It is not as though I am a big time customer. I have only been there a few times. My experience taught me two things:
a) You never know your luck in a big city
b) I'm glad I went to Paterson Burn

"We will be delighted to use them at the Bright Smile Community Garden to continue to improve and expand the work we do there. Samantha is also part of a group creating a second Community Garden in Thames which at this stage has no physical resources, eg tools and equipment, so we may be able to use some of the prizes there."
