American president Donald Trump’s tough talk on more tariffs being applied to goods into the US has Waikato-based exporters nervous and watchful.

It follows Trump’s announcement about new tariffs on Canadian, Mexican and Chinese goods and fears they could spread elsewhere.

A Tauranga man has filed a complaint with the Commerce Commission, claiming that due to dynamic pricing, it’s cheaper for him to fly to Los Angeles than to book a flight for his daughter from Tauranga to Wellington.

She is possibly in the Te Kuiti area.
