Spread some festive cheer! Volunteer as a Christmas Gift Wrapper!
Volunteering Waikato is still looking for a few more volunteers to gift wrap at Centre Place or The Base in December. This is our only fundraiser for the year, the malls pay for all resources, and all donations come directly to help us support 330 other charities in our region. Gift wrapping shifts are around 4 hours long, and you need to be available for at least three during the month. It's tonnes of fun, you can bring a friend/family member, and training is provided. Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
