Chief electoral officer says it's time to update your voting details and enrol online now

Around 60,000 voters could miss out on voting in the September General Election after their enrolment update packs were returned marked "gone no address", so if you haven't had the letter, you can enrol now by clicking www.elections.org.nz...
Alicia Wright said "those voters need to get back on the roll now so their vote will count this election. If you've moved house, you will need to update your enrolment details online, or fill in a new enrolment form and return it to us."
Note there is also a confidential roll www.elections.org.nz...

Stores are checking IDs for fancy soft drinks and not everyone is happy about it.⁠

One shopper, who asked not to be named, bought some zero alcohol branded drinks at his local supermarket and was asked to “step around into the thoroughfare so a supervisor could see me and make sure I was over 18. I couldn't believe it."⁠
