Chelsea Winter - A Winter Evening with Chelsea Winter
Masterchef winner, TV personality, author, and celebrity chef Chelsea Winter will be in Hokitika as part of our Winter Festival on the 3rd May at 7.00pm.
Chelsea will be giving an illustrated talk with a Q&A at the end. Her books - including her latest ‘Scrumptious’, along with ‘Homemade Happiness’, ‘Everyday Delicious’ and ‘At My Table’ - will be available to purchase and have signed by Chelsea.
Proceeds from this event will go towards the Hokitika Lion’s fundraising efforts for a huge new Christmas Tree to be located at the entrance to Hokitika.
Bring family and friends and be ready to be inspired.
A supper prepared by students from Westland High School, and using Chelsea’s recipes, will be available for a gold coin donation. There will also be a bar available, along with tea and coffee.
“With my recipes, anyone can cook delicious food for their family and friends. Even if you feel like you’re a complete egg in the kitchen, you’re gonna be fine. That’s why I write and test every single one of my recipes at home in my kitchen (and Mike is my chief taste tester – it’s all very scientific). I only use everyday ingredients that are easy to find at the local. And the food is designed so even finicky eaters of the family will enjoy it. So what are you waiting for? Have a look, get inspired and get your beautiful self into the kitchen!" Chelsea Winter
The event is being kindly sponsored by Monteiths and Take Note.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
