Northwest gales may become severe in exposed parts of the Canterbury High Country today and heavy rain may approach warning amounts in the Tararua Range tomorrow. MetService has issued a severe weather watch for these areas. People are advised to keep up to date with forecasts in case this Watch is upgraded to a Warning. Keep up-to-date here
