Noisey trucks!

Stephanie from Foxton

I was recently in Woodville and stopped for a look around and was very disappointed at the amount of shops that have closed & gone!
We stayed for lunch & thought we would enjoy the warm weather at one of the cafe tables on the side walk. BIG mistake!! Trucks roared thru the town ....conversation & relaxation was impossible. Everytime we attempted to talk a truck roared thru...and the smell!
What happened to the bypass? It's no wonder the town looks empty! How can a business survive, with the gorge closed and now trucks abusing the environment?
By the way the people, food & coffee was lovely! But the trucks...get them off the main street!

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
