Free performance from NZ’s Poet Laureate this Saturday!
The beloved pop idol of Aotearoa Poetry, Chris Tse, shares his magic with a free session in Wairarapa on Saturday 18 Feb at 2pm – 3.30pm at Carterton Events Centre.
All welcome, free seating, and koha is welcome.
Chris Tse (he/him) was born and raised in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. He studied film and English literature at Victoria University of Wellington, where he also completed an MA in Creative Writing at the International Institute of Modern Letters. In 2022, he was named the 13th New Zealand Poet Laureate.
His poetry, short fiction, and non-fiction have been recorded for radio and widely published in numerous journals, magazines and anthologies, including Best New Zealand Poems, Sport, Turbine, The New Zealand Listener, Fishhead, Landfall, Asian Cha, Poetry New Zealand Year Book, Sweet Mammalian, Cordite Poetry Review, Poetry, Capital Magazine, The Spinoff, and Mimicry.
Books by Chris Tse will be available. Almo's Books in Carterton is offering an 18% discount on poetry books in-store on the day, 18 Feb.
