Feed families in need this Christmas!
Christmas is just around the corner and for most kiwis this means preparing our homes to host a nice warm meal, but for some this can be a really hard time of the year.
Filled with food essentials and Christmas treats, a Christmas Box is a much-needed addition to the table and also a much-needed reminder that people care. This year we will deliver 45,000 boxes to those in need but we need your help!

Kia ora neighbours. We know your tomato plants are still growing, but we're looking ahead to the harvest already! If you've got a family recipe for tomatoes, we'd love to see it and maybe publish it in our magazine to share with our readers. Te Koru Kai
What is Te Koru Kai?
Te Koru Kai is a food scrap exchange initiative created to support our Eastside whānau and whenua. Here's how it works:
➡️ You provide us with your food scraps.
➡️ In return, we give you fresh eggs.
➡️ Eventually, this will expand to include vegetables and meat!
This is a kaupapa designed specifically for the Eastside community to promote sustainability, reduce waste, and strengthen connections.
At the moment, Te Koru Kai is full, but I’ve started a waiting list. If you’d like to join, I can add your name, and you’ll be contacted when spaces open up.
