White Autumn crocus in flower....potfull of bulbs.
This lovely little white crocus flowers at this time of the year , in late Summer or after a rainfall.
Name: Zephyvanthes sp.
They grow in sun or part shade.
The plant for sale is growing in a 15cm pot and has one flower on it at present. It has been growing in this pot for a number of years so there should be quite a lot of bulbs under the soil.
Grasslike foliage which grows about 20cms high.
The flower has 6 bright white petals with a yellow centre.
Sorry I don't seem to be able to find better photos of the plant in flower. They're in my computer somewhere.
It does well in pots and in the ground too . Dies back in winter.
Its the sort of little flower that surprises you and makes you smile.
Thanks for looking.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
