Traffic lights not quite organised so lollypop bearers directing wheeled traffic through Princes St/ Octagon intersection. Traffic halted. Pedestrians dithered, crossed Princes St, others hesitated at Octagon crossing. I looked at attendant at diagonal point on central carriageway, looked again and marched across Barnes-Dance style. He told me I was first/only one in several hours. I dread to think what traffic will be like tomorrow when George St intersection is included! And will the pedestrians take up the advantage?
