Otago rest home worker who felt 'like a criminal' wins payout for unfair dismissal
A rest home worker who claims she was treated 'like a criminal' has won a payout after being unjustifiably dismissed.
Tania Miller started working as a permanent caregiver at the Kimberley Rest Home in Palmerston, about 55 kilometres north of Dunedin, from June 25, 2015.
But after a night shift in April 2017, her job abruptly ended. She took her case to the Employment Relations Authority.
